A small, rural, progressive k-8 school district

The Valley Home Joint School District is a small, rural, progressive K-8 school district serving students and parents in a 50 square mile area in the California Central Valley at the base of the Sierra foothills. The district has been serving our community since 1903. During its long history, the school district has become well known for academic excellence and developing outstanding citizens.

Valley Home School has two school sites:

  • one that serves students in K through 3rd grades (also known as the Harold Pope School)
  • one that serves students in 4th through 8th grades.

The District enrollment is around 160 students and draws from a diverse range of socioeconomic backgrounds. The school’s standardized test scores are strong. The school enjoys a very stable community with values that support our many student programs.
